over at movies.com i just posted the first installment of my Film School Diaries, an uncomfortably candid diary of my time at, um, film school. i’m still trying to sort through my thoughts on the experience, and i figured what better way to do that than publicly baring my soul on the internet for all to see / destroy! 

anyway, this first episode chronicles the production of my program’s first major exercise, a quickie short film that was shot for 0 dollars in one sleepless blast with a few of my classmates. the sound is still a bit rough, but you can check it out above.

but you should read the diary here first… it provides some context and makes this whole process slightly less (or more?) mortifying for me. 

okay, now back to your regularly scheduled programming.

This is pretty much the funniest and most accurate account of film school ever.  I laughed at every sentence while struggling not to break out into tears.
